Happy July, everyone. The grind is real before Anime Expo... which falls on July 3-6 this year. It's the biggest con of the year, so I always try to prepare as much as possible for it. I'm going to tease all the new items I have in this newsletter :) If you're going, come by to say hi and get a free Kiyo sticker! There's a lot happening recently, I am wishing all of you to stay safe and sound. Travel is part of my job but sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming. I remind myself that it's worth it if I get to meet both familiar & new faces; and nothing beats sharing my work in person. The in-person connection means so much to me these days. If you read the newsletter, mention it and I'll give you 10% off at the con! New Prints!Firstly, I have two new prints featuring Jinshi and Maomao from Apothecary Diaries. I wasn't expecting to be instantly hooked the minute I started the show and every subsequent episode continued to subvert my expectations. This show has truly some superb writing! I wanted to try my hand at some more delicate portrait work, using pencil and graphite on textured paper and I'm really happy how these came out! They'll be made into prints on watercolour paper to keep the original feeling of the drawing. I've been enjoying this show so much and it feels so good to be able to do justice to these characters. You can grab these prints here under "New" Yakuza... as Foils I have foiled the Yakuza prints because so many people have been asking about them. I resisted for so long, but now they are in red foil glory! These will debut in person at Anime Expo and they're also in the online shop!! Anime Expo FreebiesI polished up one of my Kiyo drawings turned it into a postcard and a sticker that I'll be giving out with purchases at AX.
