I started the sketch for this thunder pupper at the end of 2024, right before I took my holiday break. After my return a month later I spent a long time and several iterations to complete it because I had lost the original vision in my head. You know how sometimes you have vision for a piece, but if left for too long the original intention has totally left and been replaced with something different? The background is where I really struggled and I almost left it blank, but during one trial I came up with a more abstract way of drawing rocks by layering different shades of blue to create structure and depth, the result which you can see in the final. I'm really digging the look personally and want to try it more in future pieces. All that is to say, I am seriously manifesting for Zinogre's appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds!!! I think he's still one of the coolest most iconic designed monsters Capcom has ever made for the series. Do you agree? Which monster do you think has the coolest design?

I've made a lot of MH pins over the years, and I used to release a new set of 6 designs every new monster hunter game release, so expect some new ones to be added this year! Taking input on which new designs y'all wanna see.

Website:

Tackling the website was in some ways tackling a whole rebranding, and was a bigger undertaking than I originally anticipated. Thinking about colors, fonts, styling, and just the very many little tiny decisions that make up the whole experience of the website was entirely unexpected. There's still a bit more finessing to do, but I hope you can appreciate the changes in the new site! Getting the site simple enough to look good and use on both desktop and mobile was a challenge! Besides the redesign, I am also in the progress of making a some goodies exclusive for online orders, and toying with making online only merch that are difficult to stock at in-person events like apparel, jewellery, and one-off releases.
